Created in early 2006 by Amy and Leo Voloshin, MoonblooD is a men's and women's t-shirt label. Inspired by the couple's love of tribal textiles and travel, the line exhibits a wintered and worn aesthetic fusing intricate, hand-drawn graphics on hand-dyed shirts.

Born to two industrial designers, a future in functional design was inevitable for Amy. Her love of fashion and fabrics stemmed early on when she began to collect vintage fabrics and textiles on her weekly outings to flea markets and auction houses. A textiles graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Amy went on to design womens wear for Urban Outfitters Inc. and later pursued art direction at Tom Cody NY.

Leo spent his formative years in Kiev, Russia. He attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, studying computer science, never thinking once that he would end up running a fashion line. When he met Amy at a Philadelphia tavern, his life took a fashionable turn.

United by their entrepreneurial spirit Amy and Leo found themselves instantly dreaming and scheming about ventures, the couple even toyed with the idea of opening a bar and a second run movie theater. When Amy made the decision to leave Urban Inc. to pursue art direction in New York she found that she couldn't abandon her love of creating clothing, and thus MoonblooD was formed. Amy has since moved back to Philadelphia and when she's not designing t-shirts she sips copious amounts of coffee and pours herself into the role of Creative Director at Printfresh, a textile design studio. In any spare time Amy has, she writes a fashion blog called Seamsters where she comments on apparel, art, and anything else that she loves the looks of. Leo and Amy reside in Northern Liberties, an up and coming creative district, in Philadelphia.
